The BIA Western Navajo Agency Branch of Natural Resources (WNA BNR) announces plans to finalize the Environmental Assessment (EA) and Rangeland Management Plan (RMP) for Land Management District 1 by late July 2025. Prior to finalizing, the public is invited to view and provide comments on the Final Draft EA/RMP for 30 days, from June 18 to July 18, 2025. A hard copy of the EA/RMP is available for check-out at the Tuba City (Tó Naneesdizí) Public Library, at the Navajo Nation Library in Window Rock (Tségháhoodzání), and at the BIA WNA BNR office. A digital copy is available for download at http://www.sundance-inc.net/lmd-1-rmp-pea. Comments may be directed to: wna_bnr@bia.gov. The intention of the RMP is to protect rangeland and farmland operations within the Land Management District 1 area. Once final, the RMP will be a tool used to assist the BIA with policy related to management of rangelands and support for local agriculture producers large and small, including gardeners.
